In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Shri Jagannath Temple, one of the most sacred and ancient temples in India, revered by millions of devotees. Though non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple, the majestic temple architecture can still be admired from outside, and darshan arrangements will be coordinated for Hindu travelers.After the temple visit, unwind with a leisurely walk at Golden Beach, known for its soft sands, cleanliness, and spiritual calmness. It’s also recognized as one of India’s Blue Flag beaches for its ecological standards and safety.Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and prepare for the enriching days ahead.

Day 2

After breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Chilika Lake at Satapada, Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon and a haven for migratory birds and aquatic life. Enjoy a scenic boat ride across the calm waters, where you may spot the rare and playful Irrawaddy dolphins, along with stops at Sea Mouth, Red Carp Island, and Rajasthan Island. The ride offers a perfect blend of nature, birdwatching, and quietude. After a peaceful exploration, return to Puri by evening and spend your time at leisure.

Drive towards Lalitgiri, one of the oldest Buddhist settlements in India, dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Wander through ancient ruins, monastic complexes, and stupas where archaeologists have discovered rare Buddhist relics, including a casket believed to contain relics of the Buddha.Next, visit Ratnagiri, an important center of Tantric Buddhism. Explore the remains of beautifully sculpted monasteries, intricately carved stone doorways, stupas, and votive shrines that reflect the richness of Buddhist art and teachings. The peaceful surroundings and historical depth make this visit a meditative experience.Later, return to Bhubaneswar (or overnight at a nearby guesthouse depending on accommodation arrangements), with time to reflect on the deep spiritual roots of Odisha.

Day 5

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin a half-day city tour of Bhubaneswar, often called the Temple City of India. Start with a visit to the grand Lingaraj Temple, an 11th-century marvel dedicated to Lord Shiva, renowned for its towering spire and detailed carvings that represent the pinnacle of Kalinga architecture.Continue to the beautifully sculpted Mukteswar Temple, famous for its exquisite torana (arched gateway) and delicate stonework.
