Day 1

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Guwahati Airport. After arrival, proceed directly to one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, the Kamakhya Temple, situated atop Nilachal Hill. This revered site offers not just spiritual energy but panoramic views of the Brahmaputra River. Following this spiritual stop, embark on a scenic drive toward Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. En route, pause at the stunning Umiam Lake (Barapani), a vast man-made reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills—perfect for photography or a short refreshment break. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, depart for Cherrapunji, the rainiest place on Earth, renowned for its waterfalls, caves, and dramatic landscapes. Your sightseeing includes the Seven Sisters Falls, a breathtaking multi-tiered waterfall cascading down the cliffs. Next, visit the Mawsmai Caves, famous for their narrow limestone formations. Continue to Thangkharang Park, which offers spectacular views of Bangladesh plains. On your return, stop at the serene Laitlum Canyon for panoramic vistas and a peaceful nature walk. Also explore the Umkar Living Root Bridge, a testament to indigenous engineering. End the day by checking in at your Cherrapunji hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Today’s journey leads you through the East Khasi Hills to Mawlynnong, proudly recognized as Asia’s cleanest village. Stroll along its neat pathways lined with bamboo dustbins, and interact with the warm Khasi villagers. Visit the Jingmaham Single Living Root Bridge, grown over decades by training rubber tree roots across a stream. Continue your scenic drive to Dawki, a picturesque town near the India–Bangladesh border. Enjoy a magical boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River, where boats appear to float in the air. Overnight stay in Dawki or Shnongpdeng, in a riverside lodge or homestay.

Day 4

Wake up to the serene natural beauty of Shnongpdeng. After breakfast, set out for Krang Suri Falls in the Jaintia Hills—a hidden gem known for its surreal blue pool and lush surroundings. Take time to walk behind the falls and soak in the scenery. After lunch, return to Shillong, stopping en route at Shillong Peak, the highest point in Meghalaya, offering 360° views of the city and the plains beyond. Arrive in Shillong for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Post breakfast, check out and begin your drive toward Kaziranga National Park in Assam—a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its population of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. On arrival, check in at your resort. If time permits, visit the Orchid and Biodiversity Park to explore hundreds of orchid species, traditional bamboo artifacts, and medicinal plants. Spend your evening on a leisurely nature walk or simply relax in the resort’s serene surroundings.
