Lake and take in the peace, and even look at the lovely old buildings. The city
might show its bright side on the nighttime; who knows, you could coincide with
the tour of the authentic Vietnamese street food, see the puppet performance,
or just get lost in the lane bathed in the soft light of lanterns. The first
day basically consists of a relaxed and unhurried way of getting a glimpse of

province of Ninh Binh, which is also very well known by its moniker "Ha
Long Bay on land". You will get the opportunity to see the lovely rural
areas during the two-hour drive and take a short break along the route. The
first place you will stop is at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968
to 1010, where some historic temples will be seen by you, and you will be
informed about the Dinh, Le, and Ly dynasties. A buffet with local Vietnamese
food will be served at that time, and you will have lunch. It will be possible
to choose from goat, fish, chicken, and fried rice among the meat options;
however, there will be veggie dishes too. Eventually, the meal will be
succeeded by the wonderful one-and-a-half-hour bamboo boat ride to the

fields, and rivers. The day's program will also feature a brief bicycle trip
through the local community to observe their lifestyle. In the evening, you
will visit Mua Cave (Dancing Cave), where you will have to walk around 500
steps to get to the top of Lying Dragon Mountain; however, the breathtaking

Hanoi's first daily meal will be breakfast, and then the hotel will check

stop. The airport will be the place where the driver and the guide are waiting
for you and they will escort you to the hotel for check-in. The rooms are
generally ready by 2:00 PM so you can drop off your luggage and then take a

is the largest permanent freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and the floating
villages where people live in schools, houses, and even floating police
stations, among others, were the most impressive thing for me during my trip.
They gave us a closer look at the local lifestyle that changes with the lake's
seasons. After experiencing the beautiful waterways along with the dynamic life
of the communities that are dependent on the water, the boat trip will be over.
The return trip to Siem Reap will be followed by an evening at your discretion.
One can choose to visit the local markets, taste the Cambodian food at one's
own cost or simply unwind at the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide and commence a full-day
tour of the most popular temples in Siem Reap.Initially, the journey will
undoubtedly be to visit Angkor Thom, the 12th-century capital, which will come
first in the itinerary. The tour will have a warm welcome at the South Gate and
a short walk through the stunning Bayon Temple with its 54 towers and over 200
celestial Avalokitesvara smiling faces, which will surely be one of the
highlights of the trip. The plan involves seeing Phimeanakas, the Royal
Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace, and the Leper King's Terrace, all of which are
witnesses to the grandeur of Khmer architecture. Then it is time for the Ta
Prohm Temple with its beautiful giant roots covering the ruins, and it being
the shooting location for the Hollywood movie Tomb Raider, which has made the
temple a celebrity place. As a matter of fact, explore the largest temple,
Angkor Wat, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site today. The wonderful
architectural style of the temple, the intricate sculptures, and the longest
bas-relief telling Hindu myths without interruption are the things that will
definitely not let you go. You will have a day full of history, photography,
and cultural interaction. An allowance for dinner will thus be given to you so
that you can savor the local Cambodian dishes. Come back to your hotel and rest
for the evening in Siem Reap. Your night's stay could be spent here.
Have yourself a very nice breakfast in the hotel before checking out. If
your flight is at night, the hotel will provide you with a whole day for your bags
to be stored. Still, you can choose how to utilize your last time in Siem Reap.
There are many options: to get some souvenirs at the local market, visit the
attractions accompanied by a tour, or simply sit in a warm and cozy café with a
great coffee and a pleasant atmosphere. However, besides that, your tour guide
and driver will be there at the hotel to give you a comfortable and hassle-free
transfer to the airport of Siem Reap International. Furthermore, the nice
memories from your tour of Vietnam and Cambodia that started from the lively
streets of Ha Noi and the magnificent limestone seascape of Ha Long Bay and
continued through the cultural and natural marvels of Ninh Binh and the ancient
temples of Siem Reap to the very end will stay with you as if the tour of 6
Nights / 7 Days was just over. You are not only with the history and culture of
Southeast Asia but also nature, all intrinsic and intertwined in your mind like
a beautifully patterned fabric.
