After a kind of early breakfast, spend the day somewhere in nature around Kaziranga National Park. If you want, you can do an Elephant Safari, or even a Jeep Safari, for a decent chance to spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros, along with wild elephants, deer, and those very exotic birds, too. Then just wind down at the resort, let the day calm down a bit, and take in the easygoing surroundings out there. Overnight stay in Kaziranga. 

After breakfast, drive to Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya, and honestly, it feels like everything is already calmer. As you go along the way, you’ll be moving through scenic landscapes and lush forests, plus those gently rolling hills that look almost unreal, like they’re too beautiful to be real or something. When you arrive, just check in at your hotel, then later on in the evening, go and wander through the vibrant Police Bazaar; it’s really lively, and you’ll feel it. Stay overnight in Shillong.

Start your day with a bit of sightseeing around Shillong, starting with Ward’s Lake, the Shillong Golf Course, and then going to Elephant Falls. After that, you can drive towards Cherrapunji, which is well known for its foggy hills and those really breathtaking waterfalls. On your way there, pause at a couple of scenic viewpoints, just to catch the fresh breeze, and basically take it easy, you know, like loosen up in the middle of nature, even if it's for a short moment. Overnight stay is in Cherrapunji.

Wander around the natural wonders of Cherrapunji, such as Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Cave, you know, plus Seven Sisters Falls as well. After that, you can drift toward Mawlynnong, Asia’s Cleanest Village, and have a look at the Living Root Bridge. Then later head on to Dawki and do a hotel check-in. Spend the night in Dawki.

After breakfast, head over to the crystal clear Umngot River in Dawki, people say it is rather stunning, and the whole vibe feels kind of calm, like quiet water and soft air. Just take in the view first, like really look around, and if you feel like it, maybe even do this little boat ride before you go to the India-Bangladesh border at Tamabil Checkpost. Later on, drive back toward Guwahati, passing through Meghalaya’s scenic hills and valleys, with a lunch stop in between. When you reach, check in at your hotel and unwind a bit after that very memorable trip. Have a comfy overnight stay in Guwahati, then you can breathe easy.

After breakfast, maybe visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most significant Shakti Peethas; it feels important. Try to enjoy those panoramic views over the Brahmaputra River before you head to Guwahati Airport or the Railway Station for your next trip, and yes, take unforgettable memories of Assam and Meghalaya with you.
